New Delhi, Nov 18 (NationPress) Two educational institutions and three judicial venues in Delhi were targeted with bomb threat emails on Tuesday, leading to an immediate evacuation, according to police reports.
It has been reported that a CRPF school located in Dwarka and an additional school in Prashant Vihar (the site of a previous explosion last year) were the recipients of these alarming emails. Furthermore, three courts—Saket Court, Patiala House Court, and Rohini Court—also received similar threats.
“R/Member, all court activities are suspended for the next two hours due to a security concern. Proceedings will resume post-lunch once the area is cleared. Please remain calm, cooperate, and avoid congregating,” stated Anil Basoya, Secretary of the Saket Bar Association.
In response to the threats, police officials, along with teams from the Fire Department and bomb disposal units, arrived at the locations to facilitate the evacuation of students and staff.
Authorities reported that no suspicious items were discovered during the investigations at any of the sites.
The investigation is ongoing, focusing on both the sites and the origin of the emails.
“The schools in Prashant Vihar and Dwarka received the bomb threats around 9 a.m. After thorough inspections, nothing abnormal was detected, and it has been deemed a hoax,” the officials confirmed.
In light of these events, security measures across all district courts in the national capital have been intensified, with officials remaining on high alert as a precaution.
This wave of threats follows a period of similar emails sent to various schools across the city, prompting police to urge the public to stay vigilant.
These threats emerge shortly after a devastating blast in Delhi, where a Hyundai i20 car exploded, resulting in at least 13 fatalities and multiple injuries.
Dr. Umar Muhammad, a significant figure associated with the Faridabad terror module, was at the wheel during the incident.
