Ujjain, March 9 (NationPress) The Madhya Pradesh Police took action on Monday by filing a case against two unidentified individuals in the temple city of Ujjain, who reportedly ignited a firecracker that unleashed thick smoke and flames, causing immediate panic among those present.

The explosion resulted in burns for several attendees and led to a brief stampede in the densely populated area where Chief Minister Mohan Yadav was in attendance.

The local administration hosted the Krishna Sudama Rangotsav as part of the lively Rangpanchami festivities celebrating the end of Holi on Sunday. A special stage was constructed at the Santram Sindhi Colony intersection to warmly receive Mohan Yadav, who engaged with the crowd amidst great enthusiasm.

Seven of the injured received care at a private hospital near Teen Batti Chauraha, while three with more severe injuries were transferred to hospitals in Indore for specialized treatment.

The Nilganga police promptly filed a case against unidentified suspects.
