Bengaluru, Feb 11 (NationPress) Union Minister for Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Pralhad Joshi stated on Tuesday that the Central government will provide comprehensive support for Karnataka’s development and industrial progress, highlighting the state's potential to become a leader in industrial growth and GDP in India.
During the inauguration of the GIM Invest Karnataka 2025, Joshi stressed that enhancing infrastructure would attract more investors to the state.
He assured attendees that he would advocate strongly at the Centre as Karnataka’s representative to guarantee the essential support from the central government.
Joshi pointed out the advantageous timing of hosting both the Aero Show and the Investors Summit simultaneously in Bengaluru, a significant benefit for investors participating in both events.
“To achieve industrial development, we need to prioritize skill, scale, and speed. By doing so, India can cater to global demands,” he declared.
The Union Minister also updated on major projects aiding Karnataka, including an investment of over Rs 15,000 crore by the central government for finishing Phase 3 of the Bengaluru Metro project. The UDAN-3 scheme is connecting cities like Ballari, Kolar, and Hassan via air travel, enhancing connectivity.
Moreover, he noted that over 1 lakh start-ups are currently operational in the country, with Rs 1,000 crore allocated this year to support these initiatives. Joshi also emphasized the significant advantages of the Sagarmala project, which aims to boost port connectivity and logistics.
With regards to the anticipated investments from the meeting, Joshi remarked that the state is poised to attract an incredible Rs 10 lakh crore in investments, marking a remarkable achievement.
He commended Minister for Large and Medium Industries M B Patil for his dedicated efforts over the last three months to ensure the success of this event, stating he is highly deserving of accolades.
