In Punjab's Moga district, extensive areas of standing crops have been devastated by relentless rainfall. Farmers report that the extent of the damage is substantial, with little chance of recovering the harvest.
One farmer from Moga expressed, "The losses are tremendous; 70–80 percent of the crops have been ruined. None of the grain has been harvested yet, and the crops before us have collapsed,” as he gestured towards fields that were inundated and flattened.
