New Delhi, Nov 23 (NationPress) The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Uttar Pradesh, Navdeep Rinwa, made a strong appeal on Sunday for all voters in the state to actively engage in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process and to ensure that their enumeration forms are submitted on time by December 4.
The CEO stressed that it is vital for every voter to accurately complete, sign, and submit the form to their designated Booth Level Officer (BLO) at their polling station.
Rinwa also shared that voters have the option to verify their information in the electoral roll established during the 2003 Special Intensive Revision, which was the last significant exercise conducted in Uttar Pradesh.
By visiting the official website ‘voters.eci.gov.in’ and selecting the “Search Your Name in Last SIR” option, citizens can find their details under the “Search by Elector Details” section.
Additionally, those who resided in other states between 2002 and 2004 can access the electoral rolls of those states through the same portal.
To facilitate the process, an online option for filling out the Enumeration Form is now available on the portal.
Furthermore, voters can input their EPIC number to retrieve the name and contact details of their BLO. The portal includes a ‘Book a Call with Your BLO’ feature, which notifies the respective BLO via their mobile app. BLOs are expected to return calls to voters within 48 hours.
The CEO also highlighted a dedicated telephonic support system.
By dialing 1950 along with the district STD code, voters can reach the district contact center for assistance. The staff at these centers are equipped to resolve inquiries and register complaints.
Rinwa indicated that district administrations have been instructed to establish numerous help desks in urban regions and to deploy fully trained personnel knowledgeable about the SIR process. He disclosed that BLOs in Uttar Pradesh have already gathered and digitized over 3 crore enumeration forms.
Recognizing that BLOs in urban settings face increased challenges due to their non-local postings, Rinwa urged Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) to provide full support.
He directed all District Election Officers to ensure that enumeration forms reach every voter across villages, hamlets, colonies, and settlements, and to devise action plans to finalize the SIR process within the designated timeline.
