He evaluated security, logistics, and participant arrangements, providing essential directives to the officials.
The Chief Minister highlighted that this trade show would act as a global platform to exhibit the state's rich traditions, skills, and products, while simultaneously promoting the 'Vocal for Local' and 'Make in India' initiatives.
He urged that every district ensure robust participation, with specific stalls dedicated to products under the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme, showcasing handicrafts, food items, and industrial goods.
“This event will transcend a mere exhibition; it is set to be a gateway to new opportunities, business networks, and investments for entrepreneurs and youth,” said Yogi.
Emphasizing the crucial role of youth, he instructed extensive branding efforts across educational institutions.
“Information about UPITS should be disseminated widely in colleges and universities so students can actively participate. This experience will not only provide them hands-on learning but also ignite their passion for entrepreneurship and innovation,” he stated.
The Chief Minister also underscored the importance of promoting Khadi and village industries, suggesting that the fashion show at UPITS should prioritize Khadi, handicrafts, and rural products, with involvement from experts from Film City to enhance global visibility.
“This initiative will fortify the rural economy and unveil new markets for local artisans,” he added.
Visitor arrangements will feature shuttle services, proper guidance, and facilities catering to the elderly. He further directed officials to focus on security, accommodation, and transport arrangements for foreign buyers and guests.
CM Yogi explored the exhibition complex in an e-cart, reviewing VIP movement routes, security plans, and visitor amenities.
