Lucknow, April 26 (NationPress) The third edition of the UP International Trade Show (UPITS) is set to take place in Greater Noida from September 25-29, offering a dynamic showcase of the state's offerings. The trade show, which will emphasize the state's capabilities, potential, and accomplishments, aims to position Uttar Pradesh as a prominent center for trade, investment, innovation, and cultural heritage.
The event's main attraction will be Geographical Indication (GI)-tagged products and One District One Product (ODOP) items, such as Agra's petha, Malihabad's mangoes, Moradabad's brassware, Banarasi sarees, Bhadohi carpets, and Lucknow's chikankari.
In alignment with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's 'Vocal for Local' initiative, the trade show aims to boost exports and link local producers with international buyers.
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Adityanath, preparations for the event are underway, with the list of participating departments and their designated officers completed.
Entities such as UP Invest, industrial authorities (UPCIDA, GIDA, YEIDA), and departments including MSME, Agriculture, Energy, Electronics, Health, Tourism, Food Processing, Dairy, Animal Husbandry, and Khadi will play pivotal roles in the event.
The trade show is anticipated to draw investments, generating new job opportunities locally, with potential Memorandums of Understanding in sectors like health, food processing, electronics, defense manufacturing, agri-tech, and renewable energy.
Officials noted that under CM Adityanath's leadership, the event will bolster Uttar Pradesh's standing on the global investment landscape.
Led by nodal officers from 35 departments, the exhibition will feature 48 stakeholders showcasing across 12 categories in a space of 50,000 sq. meters.
The exhibition will be categorized into 12 areas - Industry, MSME, Agriculture and Allied Industries, Energy, Environment, Health, Education, Electronics, Defense, Tourism, Transport, EV, and Finance. Within these categories, 48 stakeholders will display their exhibits.
