Greater Noida, Sep 26 (NationPress) The extensive Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2025 (UPITS 2025), spanning five days, is projected to generate business amounting to Rs 4,000 crore, as stated by state MSME and Textiles Minister, Rakesh Sachan, on Friday.

During the commencement of B2B meetings with international buyers, Sachan noted that over 2,400 exhibitors from the state are presenting a variety of products from numerous sectors, including textiles, handicrafts, khadi, garments, leather, food processing, the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative, GI-tagged products, as well as electronic goods, defence, and medical and pharmaceutical items.

He emphasized that artisans and craftsmen would have the chance to engage directly with foreign buyers.

Welcoming global participants, Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) President S.C. Ralhan underscored that the event has attracted enthusiastic participation from more than 500 foreign buyers representing over 85 countries, including major economies like the US, UK, Germany, France, Japan, Australia, South Korea, Brazil, and South Africa.

As a distinctive initiative to promote the state's flagship One District One Product (ODOP) program and its rich agricultural heritage, FIEO will present Kala Namak Rice as a gift to the foreign buyers at the event — symbolizing Uttar Pradesh’s commitment to quality, tradition, and export excellence.

Ralhan mentioned that the event, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is anticipated to act as a catalyst for substantial trade outcomes.

More than 2,500 B2B meetings are planned throughout the five-day exhibition, facilitating meaningful interactions between international buyers and over 2,000 sellers from various parts of Uttar Pradesh, as per a FIEO statement.

The exhibition presents an extensive array of products and services — from traditional sectors like textiles, handicrafts, khadi, garments, leather, food processing, ODOP, and GI-tagged products to emerging sectors such as electronics, defence, machinery, medical equipment, and pharmaceuticals.

Artisans and entrepreneurs from regions including Varanasi, Agra, Moradabad, and Gorakhpur are showcasing their craftsmanship to a global audience.

Ralhan further stressed that ‘UPITS 2025’ serves not only as a platform for exploring export opportunities but also as a strategic avenue to foster joint ventures, technology collaborations, and foreign direct investment (FDI).
