New Delhi, April 10 (NationPress) The final electoral rolls in Uttar Pradesh were unveiled on Friday, following the completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) for 2026, establishing the total voter count at 13,39,84,792 (approximately 13.39 crore).
This finalized list, released by the Election Commission, is a precursor to the upcoming assembly elections scheduled for next year.
Navdeep Rinwa, the state’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), emphasized during a press conference that the entire process was executed with complete transparency.
As per the electoral roll published by the commission, the state has witnessed an addition of 84,28,767 voters post the SIR exercise. This includes 42,27,902 male voters and 42,00,778 female voters.
The increase in voter numbers is based on a comparison between the figures from January 6, 2026 and April 10, 2026 (the conclusion of the SIR process).
The data indicates a total of 13.39 crore voters in the state, with 7,30,71,061 being male voters (about 54.54%) and 6,09,09,525 being female voters (approximately 45.46%). The number of third-gender voters stands at 4,206, while those aged between 18-19 years total 17,63,360.
Previously, as of January 6, 2026, the draft list recorded 12.55 crore voters.
The Election Commission has clarified that the state experienced a net growth of 84,28,767 voters, encompassing 42,27,902 male, 42,00,778 female, 14,29,379 newly registered voters, and 87 third-gender voters.
Regionally, cities like Prayagraj, Lucknow, Jaunpur, and Ghaziabad have shown the most significant increases in voter numbers.
Additionally, a total of 8,15,996 voters were removed from the rolls between January 6 and April 10 during the verification process.
It is noteworthy that the current voter figure of 13.39 crore marks a decrease from the 15.44 crore registered in October 2025.
