Is Vadodara Ready to Welcome PM Modi in Style?

Vadodara, May 26 (NationPress) The city of Vadodara in Gujarat is set to warmly welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, marking his first visit back to his home state since the initiation of Operation Sindoor.

The Prime Minister's visit will include the inauguration and foundation laying of numerous development projects valued at Rs 82,000 crore.

More than 25,000 women will extend a grand welcome to him through a unique 'Sindoor Samman Yatra', showering him with flowers.

The Dawoodi Bohra community is also gearing up to greet him with enthusiasm, while various cultural performances will be showcased to honor the Indian Armed Forces and Operation Sindoor.

Officials from the Vadodara Municipal Corporation have heightened preparations and security measures in anticipation of the visit.

VMC Commissioner Arun Mahesh Babu stated to IANS, "We are delighted that PM Modi is visiting. The public is arriving, and arrangements by municipal and police departments are commendable. This event aims to honor and express gratitude to our armed forces and PM Modi for Operation Sindoor. We encourage widespread public participation."

BJP Vadodara Metropolitan President Jaiprakash Soni conveyed to IANS, "After the triumph of Operation Sindoor, the Prime Minister's visit is significant. A magnificent welcome will be presented by Nari Shakti in the form of a Sindoor Samman Yatra where 25,000 women will shower him with flowers."

Mrinali Kulkarni, a participant, shared her enthusiasm with IANS, "We are thrilled to see the Prime Minister. We admire the work he has accomplished. Our army has excelled under Operation Sindoor. We take pride in them and wish to encourage PM Modi to continue his excellent work."

A member of the Dawoodi Bohra community expressed her excitement, stating, "We are here to thank PM Modi for the success of Operation Sindoor. This is his first visit to Gujarat since the operation, and we are fervently looking forward to it."

During his visit, PM Modi will first arrive in Dahod where he will inaugurate the Loco Manufacturing Shop-Rolling Stock Workshop and address a public gathering in Kharod. He will also lay the foundation for various government and railway projects worth Rs 24,000 crore.

Additionally, two trains will be flagged off via video conferencing from Dahod. The first, the Sabarmati-Veraval Vande Bharat Express, will operate six days a week, connecting Sabarmati with Veraval, close to the Somnath temple. The second, the Valsad-Dahod Express, will run daily, covering a distance of 346 km with 17 coaches.

Furthermore, PM Modi will inaugurate a railway production unit in Dahod, established at a cost exceeding Rs 21,000 crore under the 'Make in India' initiative. He will also flag off an electric locomotive from the Dahod manufacturing facility.

Following this, PM Modi will head to Bhuj to launch development initiatives valued at over Rs 53,400 crore, encompassing projects in Kandla Port, solar energy, power transmission, and road infrastructure.

He will unveil four drinking water supply schemes costing Rs 181 crore, aimed at benefiting 4.62 lakh individuals across 193 villages and one town in the Mahisagar and Dahod districts.

PM Modi is also scheduled to lead a three-km-long roadshow from Ahmedabad Airport to Indira Bridge, where over 50,000 BJP workers and citizens are anticipated to gather. He will overnight at Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar.

On the morning of May 27, at 10.30 a.m., he will hold another roadshow in Gandhinagar, expected to attract over 30,000 BJP workers. Following this, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation for projects worth Rs 5,536 crore at Mahatma Mandir.

Among the significant projects, the Prime Minister will inaugurate 22,055 houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for Rs 1,006 crore. He will also lay the foundation for Phase 3 of the Sabarmati Riverfront, estimated to cost Rs 1,000 crore.

In a bid to enhance urban development, PM Modi will distribute cheques totaling Rs 3,300 crore to urban local bodies under the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana.
