Chandigarh, Aug 14 (NationPress) Businessman and Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi’s spouse, Robert Vadra, emphasized on Thursday that he has “done nothing wrong” regarding the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) investigation into money laundering associated with a Gurugram land deal. He asserted that he has fully cooperated with the inquiry and will continue to do so.
“I have appeared before the ED 24 times. This case is two decades old, and I have responded to all their inquiries. I never did anything wrong. Whenever they summon me, I comply. If a charge sheet is filed, the law will take its course,” Vadra stated.
He made these comments after offering prayers at the historic Gurdwara Sri Nada Sahib in Panchkula, Haryana, where he also engaged in langar seva and received prasad.
Labeling the gurdwara a place of “happiness, peace, and brotherhood,” he expressed his hopes for the success of Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, whom he described as tirelessly working for the public.
Vadra accused the government of being involved in “vote theft” and commended Rahul and Priyanka for raising awareness about alleged irregularities observed by the Election Commission.
“It is evident that vote theft is taking place, and the government is engaging in wrongful practices. We are striving to awaken the populace. If they desire change, they must unite,” Vadra remarked.
“Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are advocating for the issues of the common man, both in and out of Parliament. They enjoy the support of the people. Those responsible for vote theft will be held accountable,” he added.
Vadra cautioned that unless citizens recognize the situation and take action, the current government will continue to “win through dishonest means” and further divide society. He claimed that Rahul Gandhi has already presented proof of these alleged misconducts.
“If we remain unaware, this government will persist in securing victories through wrongful tactics and dividing communities,” Vadra remarked.
