Mumbai, May 3 (NationPress) Amruta Fadnavis, spouse of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, attended the Waves Summit 2025 in Mumbai.
In an interview with IANS, Amruta emphasized that the language of music is the most beautiful in the world, and she believes WAVES has initiated a strong movement for music.
Reflecting on WAVES 2025, she stated, "The buzz surrounding the WAVES Summit is not limited to Mumbai or Maharashtra; it has captured global attention, with many expressing a desire to participate."
She noted that this event will enhance diplomatic and cultural ties in the near future.
When asked about PM Modi's commitment to supporting creators and the recent governmental initiatives to establish institutions comparable to IITs and IIMs for them, she responded, "Indeed, creators require substantial backing from both the government and the public. Only with this support can they effectively promote Indian culture worldwide. Our policies and resources must facilitate this growth."
Amruta also highlighted that Maharashtra has attracted a significant investment of Rs 8000 crore due to the WAVES Summit.
She noted, "The Korean Hip-hop scene has provided a remarkable master class in this field. There is a growing interest in learning their language and economy, with over 200,000 registrations for Korean language courses, which will also enhance tourism."
"By showcasing our folk and classical music, we can give a substantial boost to Indian tourism," she concluded.
The WAVES Summit 2025, hosted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, began on May 1 and will run until May 4.
This inaugural WAVES Summit aims to unite leaders and stakeholders from the entertainment industry to position India as a prime destination for content creation.
