New Delhi, Feb 16 (NationPress) The Ministry of Ayush has officially opened nominations for the esteemed Prime Minister’s Yoga Awards aimed at the 2025 celebration of the International Day of Yoga (IDY2025).
These awards honor individuals and organizations that have made noteworthy and enduring contributions to the advancement and dissemination of Yoga, both in India and globally, as stated by the ministry.
The awards will be presented in categories including National Individual, National Organisation, International Individual, and International Organisation, with each honoree receiving a trophy, a certificate, and a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh.
As per the ministry's guidelines, applicants must be at least 40 years old and possess a minimum of 20 years of dedicated service in promoting Yoga.
Nominations can be submitted through the MyGov platform until March 31, 2025.
The link for submission will also be accessible on the Ministry of Ayush’s website and the sites of its affiliated organizations. Applicants may apply directly or be nominated by a recognized Yoga organization. Each individual or organization can submit an application for only one category (National or International) in a given year,” the ministry confirmed.

A screening committee established by the Ministry of Ayush will evaluate all submissions and recommend up to 50 names per award category to the Evaluation Jury.
