New Delhi, March 5 (NationPress) The Ministry of Ayush has commenced the nomination process for the PM Yoga Awards 2025, aimed at recognizing and honoring both individuals and organizations that have made remarkable contributions to the advancement and promotion of Yoga.

The PM Yoga Awards are set to be presented annually on International Yoga Day, celebrated on June 21, acknowledging achievements at both domestic and international levels.

The initiative to honor exceptional ‘Yoga contributors’ was first introduced by the Prime Minister during the second International Yoga Day celebration.

Applicants, including Yoga specialists, can nominate themselves or be nominated by reputable organizations in the field. Nominations can be submitted through the MyGov portal, a citizen engagement platform initiated by the Government of India.

Awards and Categories

These awards recognize exemplary contributions to the development and promotion of Yoga and will be presented on International Day of Yoga (June 21) each year.

The awards will be conferred upon entities with a stellar track record and significant contributions to the advancement of Yoga. In any given year, the Jury may opt to award one or more individuals or organizations, or none at all.

The awards will be distributed in the following categories: National Individual, National Organization, International Individual, and International Organization.

The names of the awardees will be revealed on the 11th International Day of Yoga. Recipients will receive a trophy, certificate, and a cash prize of ₹25 lakh. In cases of joint winners, the cash prize will be equally divided among them.

Eligibility and Evaluation of Candidates

* Nominees must possess a profound understanding of Yoga.

* The minimum age to qualify for nominations in both the National and International individual categories is 40 years.

* For organizations, a minimum of 20 years of service with an outstanding record and contributions to Yoga’s promotion and development is necessary.

Nominations will undergo a rigorous screening and evaluation process, conducted by a four-member committee assessing contributions based on knowledge and societal impact in promoting ethical and spiritual values.
