Ayodhya, Jan 24 (NationPress) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticized the Samajwadi Party (SP) on Friday for purportedly disseminating false propaganda concerning the Maha Kumbh, asserting that while millions are engaging in this sacred event, the SP is undermining the faith of the populace. He charged the party with deceiving the public through misleading assertions.
On Friday, CM Yogi visited Milkipur to campaign for the upcoming Assembly bye-election on February 5, expressing confidence that the BJP will triumph at every booth within the Milkipur Assembly constituency.
During his visit, he launched a vehement critique of the SP, stating, "The President of the Samajwadi Party is perpetually spreading false propaganda about the Maha Kumbh."
"This constitutes an assault on the faith of the nation. Even when Ram Lalla was enthroned on January 22, 2024, the Samajwadi Party opposed it. The hands of the SP are tainted with the blood of innocent Kar Sevaks," he alleged.
He further condemned the SP for resisting various developmental projects, including the naming of Ayodhya International Airport after Maharishi Valmiki, the enhancement of Maharishi Valmiki's birthplace in Lalapur, and the development of Rajapur, the birthplace of Sant Tulsidas.
"When our government improved the fort of Maharaja Bijli Pasi in Lucknow, the SP opposed it. They also resisted the development of Maharaja Suheldev's Vijay Smarak in Bahraich," he added.
The Chief Minister also accused the SP of opposing significant figures and events related to India's cultural heritage. "The SP is against Babasaheb Ambedkar, Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, and Kashi Vishwanath," he remarked.
"They only mourn when a mafia figure passes away. Their champion is Moin Khan, a man accused of assaulting a daughter. This is why it was said that the SP's daughter felt threatened upon seeing him," he stated.
He further highlighted the endorsement of Moin Khan by the Ayodhya MP and condemned this support. "Ayodhya Dham has a singular message -- unity. Only through unity can this country remain intact. The Maha Kumbh conveys this message -- unity is the strength of this nation," he emphasized.
Yogi Adityanath urged the public to reject individuals who back figures like Moin Khan, claiming that such persons jeopardize the safety of daughters. "Supporters of Moin Khan should not be permitted to win elections. These individuals, who uphold Moin Khan, pose a threat to our daughters' safety," he declared.
The Chief Minister also reflected on the importance of the Maha Kumbh, stating, “We gained virtue from bathing in the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh. Worshippers from around the globe participated, and 10 crore individuals bathed within a mere 10 days. The population of many countries is less than 10 crore, and over the ensuing 35 days, a total of 45 crore people are expected to visit. Only two nations in the world have populations exceeding 45 crore.”
He asserted the privilege of being born in India, saying, “Individuals from every caste and class are benefiting from the Kumbh.”
The Chief Minister also accused the SP of concentrating solely on their family’s interests rather than the public good.
"Today is January 24, and in two days, we will observe the Amrit Mahotsav of the Constitution established by Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. The Samajwadi Party opposes the Constitution founded by Babasaheb," he claimed.
Yogi Adityanath also criticized the previous government, commenting, "Today, the roads of Ayodhya are five to six lanes wide. What was the state of Ram Ki Paidi during the tenure of the Samajwadi Party?"
