New Delhi, Dec 6 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, addressed the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2025 in New Delhi, stating that the state has embarked on a new chapter characterized by peace and investment, attributing this shift to the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

During his address, Adityanath acknowledged December 6, a date previously linked to unrest in Uttar Pradesh, emphasizing that the once tumultuous environment has now given way to tranquility.

He referred to the demolition of the Babri Masjid, which he labeled the “disputed structure,” as a necessary removal of a “stain,” praising the Supreme Court’s 2019 ruling permitting the Ram Mandir as a pivotal resolution that has fostered “lasting peace.”

According to the Chief Minister, the temple's completion represents “the biggest achievement” in the history of independent India, claiming it has put an end to years of conflict and opened avenues for development. Adityanath asserted that Uttar Pradesh is now “riot-free,” a change he believes has created a conducive environment for investment and economic progress. He connected this stability to the larger national objective of Viksit Bharat 2047, suggesting that the advancement of Uttar Pradesh is crucial to India’s emergence as a developed nation.

“Peace leads to prosperity, and prosperity fortifies trust in governance,” he stated, highlighting his administration’s commitment to law and order as essential for industrial growth. When queried about extending the government’s agenda to other contested religious sites like Kashi and Mathura, Adityanath replied enigmatically, “We will reach everywhere, and we have already reached.”

This statement alluded to the popular slogan, “Ayodhya to bas jhaankee hai, Kashi-Mathura abhi baaki hai,” implying that the Ram Temple may not represent the concluding chapter in the state’s religious and cultural renaissance.

The Chief Minister’s comments intertwined political significance with economic implications, positioning Uttar Pradesh as both a spiritual epicenter and a burgeoning investment destination. By correlating the resolution of long-standing conflicts with peace and prosperity, Adityanath aimed to portray his state as a model for national change.
