Gorakhpur, Feb 15 (NationPress) On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted the Rudrabhishek ceremony for Lord Shiva at the sacred Shaktipeeth of Gorakhnath Mandir, praying for the joy, tranquility, and prosperity of every resident.
Additionally, Yogi Adityanath, who also holds the title of Goraksh Peethadheeshwar of the temple, performed Dugdhabhishek and Jalabhishek at the historic Mansarovar Temple in Andhiyari Bag and the Piteshwar Nath Shiva Temple at Bharohia, seeking the well-being of all.
Following his Janata Darshan this morning, CM Yogi Adityanath executed the Panch Snan of Lord Shiva using milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar at the Shakti Temple situated on the first floor of the Math within the Gorakhnath Temple grounds. The Rudrabhishek was then carried out according to established rituals, with priests chanting the significant mantras from the Rudrashtadhyayi of the Shukla Yajurveda Samhita.
Upon completing the Rudrabhishek at Goraksh Peeth, the Chief Minister visited the ancient Mansarovar Temple at Andhiyari Bag to offer his prayers to Mahadev.
Prominent figures present during the event included Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan Shukla, Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava, and Mahant Ravindradass of Kalibari.
After the rituals, CM Yogi shared a message on X, stating, "On this auspicious day of Mahashivratri, illuminated by the spirit of welfare, restraint, and meditation, I performed Rudrabhishek with devotion and prayed for the well-being of humanity. Har Har Mahadev!"
He also visited the Piteshwar Nath Shiva Temple in Bharohia at noon, a temple with a deep historical connection to Goraksh Peeth. Every year on Mahashivratri, the Chief Minister comes here to conduct the Jalabhishek.
After the Jalabhishek, the Chief Minister engaged with local public representatives and citizens at the Guru Gorakhnath Vidya Peeth, inquiring about their well-being.
He connected with the public, bestowed blessings upon children, and even took photographs with local athletes.
