Mumbai, Sep 30 (NationPress) Adani Electricity announced on Wednesday that it has successfully delivered 653 temporary power connections to Navratri and Durga Puja Pandals this year.

In preparation for the festive season, Adani Electricity Mumbai streamlined the process for organisers of Navratri and Durga Puja to secure temporary electricity connections for their pandals earlier this month.

Staying true to its commitment to safety and efficiency, the utility guarantees a connection within 48 hours of application submission.

“We are thrilled to announce that this year, we have provided temporary electricity connections to over 653 Durga Puja/Navratri pandals throughout the city. Adani Electricity understands the significance of having an uninterrupted power supply during these important celebrations,” a company representative stated.

“Recognizing the need for uninterrupted power during these festivities, we successfully supplied continuous electricity to over 647 Durga Puja/Navratri pandals last year. This year, we have enhanced our operations to ensure even quicker connection releases and dependable supply,” the spokesperson added.

Earlier this year, during the Ganpati festival, Adani Electricity provided around 950 temporary connections to Ganpati Pandals and installed over 2,571 floodlights at 167 immersion sites across 15 BMC wards, ensuring a safe and joyful experience for devotees.

Additionally, Adani Electricity has established a Quick Response Team equipped with a well-defined restoration plan to tackle any unexpected issues during the celebrations. The utility has issued a safety advisory encouraging all pandals to:

The company also advised all pandals to: utilize wiring services exclusively from licensed electrical contractors, and to install necessary Residual Current Circuit Breakers (RCCBs) to safeguard devotees and volunteers from electrical risks.

Emphasizing safety, reliability, and accessibility to power, Adani Electricity has issued a list of dos and don’ts for Navratri and Durga Puja pandals.

They urged the use of standard wires and switches for connections, allowing only authorized personnel to enter the meter cabin.

"A fire extinguisher with operational knowledge should be placed near the meter cabin. A danger board must be affixed near the meter cabin. Proper earthing at the meter cabin is required," the company stated.

Adani Electricity has also warned against using unauthorized extensions or direct supply, making any wiring joints, placing obstacles at the meter cabin entrance, and exceeding the sanctioned load.
