Cupertino (California), June 9 (NationPress) - On Monday, Apple provided a sneak peek of iOS 26 at its flagship developer conference, marking a significant update that introduces a stunning new design, smarter features, and enhancements to the apps that users depend on daily.

It is crafted using Liquid Glass—a translucent material that beautifully reflects and refracts its environment, enhancing focus on content and providing a lively feel across controls, navigation, app icons, widgets, and more.

This new design extends to the Home Screen and Lock Screen, making them more customizable and visually appealing than ever. Liquid Glass also introduces exciting customization options for app icons and widgets, including a stunning transparent appearance.

On the Lock Screen, the time seamlessly adjusts to fit the available space in an image, and spatial scenes bring wallpapers to life with a 3D effect as users move their iPhones. Updated design elements also provide refreshing experiences within apps.

A simplified, streamlined Camera interface keeps users focused on capturing genuine moments, while the Photos app has been updated to include distinct tabs for Library and Collections views.

In Safari, web pages flow from the top to the bottom of the screen, allowing users to enjoy more of the content while easily accessing frequently used actions like refresh and search.

In Apple Music, News, and Podcasts, the tab bar has been redesigned to float above content, dynamically shrinking when users browse to emphasize content and expanding when they scroll back up, according to Apple.

The tech giant also showcased watchOS 26, which features a stunning new look along with enhanced intelligence for a more personalized experience, helping users remain active, healthy, and connected.

The new design, featuring Liquid Glass, enhances elements such as the Smart Stack, Control Center, the Photos watch face, and in-app navigation and controls, all while keeping the familiar feel of watchOS.

Apple Intelligence enriches the fitness experience with Workout Buddy, offering personalized, spoken motivation. The Workout app showcases a new layout and curates music selections based on user preferences and workout types. watchOS 26 simplifies daily interactions with tips from the Smart Stack and updates to Messages.

Apple also previewed iPadOS 26, the most significant iPadOS update to date, making substantial advancements in iPad's unique capabilities and versatility.
