Bengaluru, April 19 (NationPress) Emphasizing the urgent necessity for collaborative efforts, the Indian Plumbing Association (IPA) declared on Sunday that PlumbexIndia 2026 highlighted how synergies among industry, government, and academia can foster sustainable solutions for water management.

Hosted by the IPA, this three-day event emerged as a vital forum for enhancing dialogue on water security, sanitation, and plumbing infrastructure.

Gurmit Singh Arora, the National President of the IPA, remarked that the event showcased a unified dedication from government, industry, and academic sectors towards establishing resilient and sustainable water systems, particularly amidst India's swift urbanization.

“The exchanges, innovations, and collaborations developed here illustrate a collective resolve among government, industry, and academia to create robust, effective, and sustainable water systems,” said Arora.

“As urbanization accelerates in India, initiatives like PlumbexIndia are crucial for transforming concepts into practical solutions,” he added.

Chandra Shekhar Gupta echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of merging engineering proficiency with policy guidance and execution.

“The strong engagement and the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CaHO mark significant advancements in enhancing water and sanitation standards, especially in essential areas such as healthcare,” Gupta noted.

The event featured high-level discussions on urban water management, groundwater sustainability, and engineering-led infrastructure, with contributions from experts across various sectors.

Noteworthy initiatives included the IPA Bathroom Challenge, a live technical competition supported by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials and the International Water Sanitation and Hygiene Foundation, alongside “Around the Drop,” a student-oriented design initiative in collaboration with Ethos Empowers.

The exhibition attracted over 15,000 visitors and 180 exhibitors, featuring international participation from countries such as the United States, Germany, Italy, Spain, Denmark, France, Israel, Japan, Taiwan, and China.

Major government organizations, including the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, the Ministry of Jal Shakti, and the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation, provided support for the event.
