The Financial Intelligence Unit-India serves as the national agency responsible for receiving, processing, analyzing, and disseminating information concerning suspicious financial transactions while coordinating actions against money laundering and terrorism financing.
The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre operates under the Ministry of Home Affairs and is tasked with providing a structured framework for Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) to address cyber crime in a coordinated and holistic manner.
It has launched various platforms including the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP), Cyber-Police, and Suspect Registry, aimed at facilitating real-time intelligence sharing and coordination among stakeholders such as law enforcement agencies, banks, and financial institutions in the fight against cyber crimes.
In 2025, reported losses amounted to approximately Rs 19,813 crore, along with 2,177,524 complaints related to cheating, according to data from the I4C.
