New Delhi, Nov 14 (NationPress) The government is progressing with significant initiatives focused on achieving national health objectives and ensuring alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), revealed a senior official on Friday.
Union Health Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava officially launched the ministry’s Health Pavilion at the 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Bharat Mandapam, encouraging attendees to visit and enhance their understanding of public health.
“The pavilion provides valuable insights into India’s healthcare system and showcases numerous ongoing programs. Visitors can access several services, including CPR awareness sessions and anaemia testing. I strongly encourage everyone to take advantage of these offerings,” she stated.
“The recently launched Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan aims to impact 11 crore individuals. Concurrently, initiatives like the Tobacco Control for Youth Programme, TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, and the national organ donation campaign are making headway,” Srivastava added.
This year’s pavilion emphasizes the Ministry’s pivotal role in crafting health policies and delivering comprehensive healthcare services to nurture a healthier nation.
Participating in the IITF-2025, organized by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) at Bharat Mandapam, the Ministry features a total of 37 stalls. These exhibitions will highlight various schemes and accomplishments.
A highlight will be the recent attainment of three Guinness World Records titles under the nationwide initiative “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” (SNSPA), demonstrating India’s steadfast commitment to preventive and women-centered healthcare.
Mass outreach campaigns like the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan (Healthy Woman, Empowered Family) are pivotal in empowering and transforming women's lives, as noted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this month.
He praised the achievement of three Guinness World Records titles under the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan.
“This is truly commendable! Such mass movements propel our efforts in women empowerment and have a transformative effect on the lives of our Nari Shakti,” the Prime Minister expressed in a social media post.
