New Delhi, April 3 (NationPress) India is surpassing the global scene in terms of creativity and the adoption of AI, stated Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, on Thursday.

His comments come amid a notable rise in demand for the company's latest 4o image generation tool, which is capable of creating animations in the style of Studio Ghibli.

This feature was launched as part of a comprehensive product update for ChatGPT last week.

"The current state of AI adoption in India is truly remarkable to observe," the OpenAI CEO commented in a post on the social media platform X.

"We are thrilled to witness the surge of creativity -- India is leading the world," he added.

In addition to praising the country’s vibrant creativity in AI, Altman shared a cricket-themed anime depiction of himself as an Indian cricket player, generated through AI.

"Prompt: Sam Altman as a cricket player in anime style," he noted.

Altman has also hinted at a version 2 of this feature, which he believes users may not be prepared for.

On X Wednesday, Altman stated, "y'all are not ready for images v2..."

Additionally, he mentioned that ChatGPT is experiencing high demand, particularly as the Ghibli-style AI art trend has taken the internet by storm.

This surge in popularity has led to potential delays in upcoming releases from OpenAI, due to capacity challenges, he explained.

“We are managing the situation, but you should anticipate new releases from OpenAI to be postponed, occasional service interruptions, and slower performance as we address capacity issues,” the OpenAI CEO remarked on X.

He even humorously requested assistance from users who might have GPU capacity available in 100k increments faster than OpenAI.

“We are working diligently to optimize everything; if anyone has GPU capacity in 100k chunks available, please reach out!” Altman stated.

He also noted on X that the company added a million users within an hour, comparing this with the previous record of gaining a million users in five days after the launch of the 4o Image Generation feature.
