New Delhi, Dec 4 (NationPress) Union Health Minister JP Nadda engaged in discussions with Mikhail Murashko, his Russian counterpart, on Thursday. The focus of their meeting was to strengthen bilateral relations in the healthcare sector, emphasizing their shared goal of ensuring accessible, affordable, and high-quality healthcare for all.
In a statement shared via social media platform X, the Ministry of Health conveyed, “Union Health Minister JP Nadda met with Mikhail Murashko, Health Minister of the Russian Federation, today. The discussions centered on significant health priorities, with both parties agreeing to boost bilateral collaboration.”
The post further highlighted, “India and Russia reaffirmed their mutual dedication to promoting accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare for everyone.”
This meeting occurs in the context of Russian President Vladimir Putin's two-day state visit to India.
Earlier on the same day, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held talks with his Russian counterpart Andrei Belousov. They co-chaired the 22nd India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission focused on Military and Military Technical Cooperation in New Delhi.
The Defence Ministry stated that the leaders would evaluate the comprehensive spectrum of their nations’ multi-dimensional defence relations during the meeting. They are also set to discuss current regional and global issues of shared concern.
