Ahmedabad, Oct 14 (NationPress) Gautam Adani, the Chairman of the Adani Group, announced on Tuesday that the company is thrilled to collaborate with Google in establishing India’s largest AI data centre campus located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Adani Enterprises, through its joint venture company AdaniConneX, has forged a groundbreaking partnership with Google aimed at developing this expansive AI data centre and integrating new green energy infrastructure in Visakhapatnam.
“This is truly a monumental day for India! Adani is excited to partner with Google to construct the largest AI data centre campus in Visakhapatnam, specifically designed to meet the demands of artificial intelligence,” stated the billionaire entrepreneur.
In a post shared on X, Gautam Adani emphasized that the facility will incorporate the Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) and Graphical Processing Unit (GPU)-driven computational power essential for deep learning, neural network training, and extensive AI model inference. This initiative aims to foster an ecosystem that accelerates AI-driven solutions across critical sectors in India, ranging from healthcare and agriculture to logistics and finance.
“We are privileged to be at the forefront of powering India's AI revolution, equipping our nation's brightest minds with the tools they need to tackle complex challenges,” remarked the Chairman of the Adani Group.
The investment for Google’s AI hub in Visakhapatnam is projected to be around $15 billion over the course of five years (2026-2030). This will include gigawatt-scale data centre operations, bolstered by a robust subsea cable network and clean energy initiatives, designed to support the most demanding AI workloads in India.
The project will be realized through close collaboration with ecosystem partners such as AdaniConneX and Airtel, as per the company’s statement.
The core components of the Google AI hub, created in partnership with AdaniConneX, include specialized AI data centre infrastructure in Visakhapatnam, significantly increasing computing capacity to drive a generational leap in India’s AI capabilities.
Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian stated, “By collaborating with Adani, we will bring our advanced resources closer to communities and customers, providing them with the performance, security, and scalability needed to innovate and excel on a global scale.”
