Dharamshala, Dec 14 (NationPress) Axar Patel has been ruled out due to illness, while Jasprit Bumrah is absent because of personal matters as India won the toss and chose to bowl first against South Africa during the third T20I at the HPCA Stadium on Sunday.
The series, consisting of five matches, is currently tied at 1-1, meaning a victory for either team will grant them the lead. With the absence of Axar and Jasprit, captain Suryakumar Yadav announced that Harshit Rana and Kuldeep Yadav have been added to the playing eleven.
“It’s been a good wicket all weekend and I don’t anticipate any significant changes, but dew is already present and might become more substantial later. Thus, we’re content to bowl first. This is a remarkable venue with wonderful people, and we aim to entertain everyone with our batting and bowling,” he mentioned.
South Africa's captain Aiden Markram stated that Corbin Bosch, Anrich Nortje, and Tristan Stubbs have joined their playing eleven, replacing David Miller, George Linde, and Litho Sipamla.
“It’s quite cold, but the venue is beautiful. We had a strong response, and it’s crucial for us to perform well tonight. We need to evaluate the conditions right from the start. We hope to set a commendable score, as our previous experiences here have left the boys eager to play,” he said.
