Bageshwar Aerial edge past Pithoragarh Hurricanes

Bageshwar Aerial opened the day's proceedings with a three-wicket win over Pithoragarh Hurricanes, chasing down 136 with five balls to spare. Having opted to field first, Bageshwar held the Hurricanes to 135/5 in 20 overs, with Gayatri Arya top-scoring for the batting side with 41 off 35 balls — a knock that, while watchable, could not lift Pithoragarh to a more competitive total.

The chase was closely fought throughout, with Bageshwar eventually finishing on 136/7 in 19.1 overs. Nandini Kaushik was central to the pursuit, contributing a composed 41 off 35 balls to guide her side over the line.

Mussoorie Queens demolish Dehradun Warriors by 8 wickets

The second game of the day was a far more one-sided affair. Dehradun Warriors, who chose to bat first, were bowled out for 123 in 19 overs. Preeti Bhandari provided the only meaningful resistance with a hard-hitting 59 off 38 balls, but the Queens' bowlers maintained a disciplined stranglehold on proceedings. Nisha Mishra was the standout performer with the ball, claiming four wickets to earn the Player of the Match award.

Mussoorie Queens then romped home with 10 balls to spare, reaching 125/2 in 18.3 overs. Captain Nandini Kashyap anchored the run-chase with an unbeaten 62 off 64 balls, steering her side to an eight-wicket win without breaking a sweat.

Speaking after the match, Kashyap attributed the Queens' consistent form to meticulous preparation. 'We are doing a lot of preparation. As I said earlier, we are planning against every team. We are studying the batters and bowlers and making our plans accordingly, and so far, those plans have worked really well. We will take the same approach into our next two matches, including the final. All the girls are following the plans and executing them really well, which is helping us as a team,' she said.

Kashyap also noted that Tuesday's surface was a significant improvement over conditions in their previous outing, though it slowed marginally by the time the Queens began batting. 'Today, the pitch was much better compared to the previous match. However, because our batting came in the fourth innings, it was a little low at that stage. Still, it was much better than the previous match and was a good scoring wicket. I think the opposition was about 20-30 runs short of what could have been a competitive total. Our bowlers did really well to restrict them, and that made the chase quite easy for us,' she added.
