New Delhi, July 24 (NationPress) A remarkable performance by the girls' team from Sanskriti School, highlighted by an astonishing six goals from Amina Abdali, set a thrilling tone for Day 4 of the Oriental Cup 2025 at the Dr. Ambedkar Stadium on Thursday.

The two-time champions, coached by Keshav Chandra Duklan, achieved a resounding 9–0 victory against Tagore International School in their Group A match, significantly bolstering their chances for a spot in the finals. Alongside Abdali’s stellar performance, teammates Diksha Joshi, Sreeparna Mitra, and Aditi Chamoli contributed to the scoreboard with one goal each.

In addition, significant victories were recorded by DPS Vasant Kunj, DPS RK Puram, Navy Children School, and New Green Field School in the boys’ knockout rounds, as the tournament shifts into the league phase for the six top boys’ teams.

Other matches featured The Mother’s International School and Amity International School, Noida, who ended in a goalless stalemate in the Group A girls’ match, leaving both teams with little margin for error in future games.

In the Group B girls’ match, Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Faridabad, led by coach Inderjeet, narrowly defeated Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj, with a 1–0 victory, thanks to a lone goal from Nidhi.

Meanwhile, in the boys’ second round, DPS Vasant Kunj continued their formidable form under coach Roshan Singh, winning decisively 5–0 against Sapphire International School. Players Idaant Trivedi and Kanav Sharma netted two goals each, with Garv Khullar adding another. DPS RK Puram triumphed over DAV Public School, Sahibabad in a dramatic penalty shootout after a 2–2 draw in regulation.

For DPS RK Puram, goals came from Arhan Gupta and Afraaz Tariq, while Sagar Laha and Shriansh Nath Tiwari scored for DAV. During the shootout, DPS RK Puram held their composure to win 3-1, with Afraaz, Arhan, and Ayush Ranjan converting their penalties, while only Dhruv Kumar Sai scored for DAV. Navy Children School's boys also advanced confidently with a 3–0 win over St. Francis De Sales Senior Secondary School.

Dhruv Kumar Jha scored twice, and Prince Kumar netted the third. In the last boys’ second round fixture, New Green Field School, Saket triumphed over Heritage Global School, Faridabad in a nail-biting penalty shootout after a 0-0 draw. Nilesh, Garv Tonger, and Anuj converted for New Green Field under coach Rohit Yadav, while Javed Akhtar and Noorem Darle found the net for Heritage.

As the second-round knockout stage concludes, the boys’ competition will move to the league phase. Six teams—The Mother’s International School, Amity International School Noida, DPS Vasant Kunj, Navy Children School, DPS RK Puram, and New Green Field School—have qualified and will be organized into two groups for the next round of competition. Day 5 promises more intense football action and critical matchups, with the boys’ league fixtures and final group-stage matches in the girls’ category shaping the path to the finals of the Oriental Cup 2025.
