New Delhi, Dec 14 (NationPress) The 53rd edition of Fit India Sundays on Cycle took place along the beautiful Konkan coast of Goa, with the Armed Forces serving as special partners to commemorate Vijay Diwas.
This grand cycling event represented a pivotal moment for the Fit India Movement, extending its reach beyond the National Capital Region and highlighting its growing influence across numerous regions of the country.
The rally illustrated the momentum of the Fit India Movement and reaffirmed its mission to advocate fitness as a national priority.
Starting from Miramar Beach Circle, the cycling route offered picturesque views as participants rode to Dona Paula and back, engaging citizens, defense personnel, NCC cadets, athletes, actors, and fitness enthusiasts alike.
The morning was filled with yoga demonstrations, Zumba classes, live Goan music, and widespread public participation, underscoring that fitness can be inclusive, enjoyable, and sustainable.
Notable attendees included Ramesh Tawadkar, Minister for Sports, Government of Goa, alongside Santosh Gunwantrao Sukhadeve, IAS, Secretary (Sports), Government of Goa, and other senior officials. During the event, Tawadkar reflected on his journey over two decades as a physical education teacher and cycling advocate.
