Melbourne, Sep 5 (NationPress) The seven-time Cricket World Cup champions Australia have unveiled a formidable 15-member squad led by Alyssa Healy for the forthcoming ICC Women's Cricket World Cup set to take place in India and Sri Lanka. Notably, Sophie Molineux is making her comeback to international cricket.
Australia will solidify its preparations for the prestigious tournament with three ODIs against the host nation, India, from September 14-20 in New Chandigarh and New Delhi, before kicking off their World Cup journey against New Zealand in Indore on October 1.
Molineux makes her return after a knee injury had kept her out since December. Although she might miss the ODIs against India, she is anticipated to be fit in time for the World Cup.
Nicole Faltum and Charli Knott will be joining the squad for the ODI series, but will head back home for the start of the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL).
