Berlin, Nov 2 (NationPress) Bayern Munich maintained its flawless Bundesliga season with an impressive 3-0 triumph over Bayer Leverkusen, marking the end of the visitors' remarkable 37-match unbeaten away streak.

With a pivotal UEFA Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain on the horizon, manager Vincent Kompany opted for seven alterations following the midweek Cup success. Manuel Neuer returned as captain in goal, while young talents Tom Bischof and Lennart Karl were given starting roles. Key players Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Luis Diaz began the match on the bench.

Despite the lineup changes, Bayern quickly asserted control, pushing Leverkusen deep into its territory. The first goal came in the 25th minute when Bischof delivered a precise through ball to Serge Gnabry, who coolly placed it past goalkeeper Mark Flekken. Just six minutes later, Nicolas Jackson soared to connect with Konrad Laimer's cross, extending the lead. Before halftime, Raphael Guerreiro's low cross was inadvertently turned into his own net by Loic Bade, solidifying a comfortable lead.

The second half saw little change in momentum. Jackson missed a close-range header early, and Kompany later brought on Kane, Olise, and Diaz to conserve energy ahead of next week’s European encounter. Leverkusen struggled to generate significant chances and showed no signs of a comeback.

This victory marked Bayern's 15th consecutive win in all competitions, reinforcing their dominance at the top of the Bundesliga. Leverkusen experienced its first league loss since the season's opening match and its first away defeat in nearly two years.

Leverkusen's coach Kasper Hjulmand acknowledged Bayern's prowess, stating, 'They capitalized on our errors and deserved the victory.' He added, 'While we are disappointed with our display, we need to look ahead.'

Next, Bayern will set its sights on the Champions League clash with PSG, while Leverkusen prepares to face Benfica on Wednesday.
