The talented player hails from a modest background in Mukundpur village under the Simri police station in Buxar district.
Her father, Sohan Chaudhary, emphasized her dedication and discipline from a young age.
“The Bihar Cricket Association recognized her talent and provided her the opportunity to compete. Since then, she has never looked back, securing her place in the national team. Her outstanding bowling in the World Cup was crucial for India's victory,” he shared.
Expressing immense pride in his daughter’s achievements, Sohan Chaudhary stated that Anu Kumari has brought honor to both their family and village.
He also commended Nitish Kumar for his commitment to women’s empowerment and support for athletes in the state.
