Kolkata, April 21 (NationPress) As the top team in IPL 2025, Gujarat Titans (GT) prepares to face the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler expressed his admiration for B Sai Sudharsan, highlighting his exceptional talent and commitment to scoring significant runs in the tournament.

The left-handed batter Sudharsan ranks as the second-highest run-scorer of the tournament, amassing 365 runs in seven matches, just three runs shy of Lucknow's Nicholas Pooran, maintaining an impressive average of 52.14 and a strike rate of 153.36. “From day one of watching him in the nets, I was blown away by his talent and dedication.”

“He's achieving remarkable results too. He plays a very classical style, striking the ball with great power, and it appears that not much can go wrong with him. His consistency this season has been vital, and we need him to continue this form,” Buttler remarked during a pre-match conversation with broadcasters.

When asked about the discussions among the batting lineup before the match at the Eden Gardens, Buttler noted the importance of someone from the top three batting through the innings to enhance GT's chances of winning.

“I always aim to remain not out at the end and strategize from that point backward. Forming partnerships is essential as well. There’s a bit of planning and a bit of coincidence involved. We've emphasized building partnerships, evaluating conditions, and having one player stay until the end is beneficial,” he added.

“However, in T20 cricket, taking risks and pushing the game at certain moments is necessary, so things may not always unfold as planned. Currently, we have players in fine form looking to take the game deep,” Buttler said.

With 315 runs in seven games for GT during IPL 2025, Buttler humorously concluded that the weather is no longer suitable for him to play golf. “It’s getting a bit hot now for golf. It’s a new team for me, with a great environment that feels very relaxed. We are building something good at the moment.”
