Lucknow, March 1 (NationPress) As the WPL 2025 approaches its home leg, UP Warriorz captain Deepti Sharma and Capri Sports Director Jinisha Sharma had a meeting with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow, where they extended an invitation for him to attend the team's matches held here.

“We are incredibly grateful for the warm wishes from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. His encouragement motivates our team to give their all during the home leg games in Lucknow. It would be a memorable occasion for us to host him, and we are confident the team will make him and the state of Uttar Pradesh proud,” remarked Jinisha Sharma, Director of Capri Sports.

The UP Warriorz are preparing for their home series in Lucknow during Season 3 of the WPL. Under the leadership of Deepti, a homegrown talent, the team, owned by Capri Sports, aims to make history at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.

The UP Warriorz will kick off this leg against Gujarat Giants on March 3. Following that, with the guidance of coach Jon Lewis, they will face off against the Mumbai Indians and the reigning champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru on March 6 and 8, respectively.
