Delhi, Feb 10 (NationPress) The ACG Jr. NBA initiative, a nationwide 3v3 competition aimed at the leading junior basketball talents across India and recognized as the largest school-based basketball program in the nation, concluded successfully with All-Star Team Delhi securing the boys' championship and All-Star Team Chennai taking home the girls’ trophy.
In the boys' championship, All-Star Team Delhi overcame Maharana Pratap Inter College from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, with a score of 21-10, while All-Star Team Chennai achieved victory over Delhi Public School from Rajnandangaon, Chhattisgarh, winning 14-12 in the girls' contest.
The ‘ACG Most Improved Team’ accolade was awarded to Sardar Dastur Nosherwan Girls School in Pune, Maharashtra (U-14 Girls) and Nehru World School in Delhi (U-14 Boys) for their remarkable improvement throughout the tournament. Notable performances earned T. Sumithra Devi of All-Star Team Chennai (U-14 Girls) and Tarun Yadav of All-Star Team Delhi (U-14 Boys) the prestigious ‘MVP’ award.
Rumi Konwar from Delhi Public School, Rajnandangaon, Chhattisgarh, shone in the U-14 Girls category, finishing as the top scorer with 74 points and achieving the highest number of 3-pointers (11).
