New Delhi, March 25 (NationPress) The Nehru World School in Delhi triumphed in the Under-14 boys category, while Sacred Heart Sr. Secondary School from Ludhiana secured the U-14 girls title during the 2025-26 ACG Jr. NBA 3v3 National Tournament, recognized as India’s largest school-focused basketball initiative, held in New Delhi on Wednesday.

In the boys' section, Maharana Pratap International School from Prayagraj claimed the first runner-up position, while ITM Global School in Indore took home the second runner-up title.

For the girls, Providence Girls Higher Secondary School from Kochi was the first runner-up, and Ma Sharda Public School in Prayagraj finished as the second runner-up.

The ACG Jr. NBA 3v3 National Finals successfully concluded a series of regional tournaments conducted in ten cities across India, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Indore, Kochi, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Prayagraj, and Udaipur. This year’s initiative attracted approximately 8000 children from over 900 schools throughout the country. The tournament collaborated with the Basketball Federation of India (BFI), with Skechers, a prominent global performance and lifestyle footwear and apparel brand, serving as the official kit partner, equipping participants with top-quality gear.

During the ACG Jr. NBA 3v3 All-Star Championship, the Bengaluru All-Star Team captured the girls’ title, while the Delhi All-Star Team emerged victorious in the boys’ category. The Most Improved Team award went to The Shishukunj International School in Indore (U-14 Girls) and SK School in Udaipur (U-14 Boys) for their remarkable progress throughout the tournament.

Outstanding players included Jiya Sodhi from Sacred Heart Sr. Secondary School, who was honored with the ‘Most Valuable Player’ award in the U-14 Girls category, and Jatin Sharma from Nehru World School, who received the same accolade in the U-14 Boys category.

Individual highlights featured Dhruvi Pisal from the Mumbai All-Star team, who was the top scorer with 71 points, and P. Antara Rao from Ma Shardha Public School, who made the most 3-pointers at 21. In the U-14 Boys category, Mohd. Sameer from Maharana Partap Inter College dominated with 97 points and 28 three-pointers.

The six-day National Finals, which took place from March 19-24, 2026, at the KD Jadhav Indoor Arena in New Delhi, featured an exciting blend of on-court competition and off-court activities, including a trophy reveal and an interactive engagement zone for all players. Additionally, the event hosted an ACG Jr. NBA Referee Clinic led by former NBA G League and Basketball Africa League (BAL) referee Greg Dandridge, providing officials with an excellent opportunity to enhance their skills. An ACG Jr. NBA Coaches Clinic, conducted by Martin Clarke, Technical Director, HPC – India Basketball League, and Jake Jobling, Head Coach Men’s Basketball at HPC – India Basketball League, further enriched the experience.

The ACG Jr. NBA program continues to impart the fundamentals and principles of basketball, aiming to positively influence the lives of Indian youth. Since its inception in India in 2013, the Jr. NBA program has reached over 15 million youth and 15,000 physical education instructors across 35 cities nationwide.

This initiative is part of the NBA’s wider grassroots basketball development efforts in India, which also encompass the NBA Basketball School—a network of tuition-based basketball development programs available in 13 cities for male and female players aged 6-18.
