Narainpur, April 15 (NationPress) The reigning champions Delhi achieved a dominant 6-0 victory against Andhra Pradesh in Group F of the Swami Vivekananda U-20 Men's National Football Championship 2025 at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Ground on Tuesday, securing their spot in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
The team showcased their strength by leading 4-0 at halftime. Laishram Rahul Meitei netted two goals in the 8th and 45th minutes, followed by Moirangthem Rajeshwor Singh in the 12th minute and Kushagra Chaudhary in the 24th. Arman Ahmad scored in the 66th, with Bhaskar Chhetri adding another in the 81st.
With two victories from their matches and a staggering total of 20 goals, Delhi has qualified for the quarterfinals, where they will face Chandigarh on Thursday.
The defending champions kicked off their title defense impressively with a remarkable 14-0 win against Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu in their first Group F match.
