Excited to start his journey with East Bengal FC, Ahadad stated, “I have heard remarkable things about this club. Becoming a part of a team with such a century-long legacy is a privilege. My experience at Zamalek SC has prepared me for the pressure of iconic derbies, and I am eager to experience the Kolkata derby, one of the largest derbies in Asia. My goal is to give my utmost for this club and its dedicated fans, striving for as many trophies as possible.”
A versatile player, Ahadad can operate as a centre-forward or on the wing. He has forged a notable career in elite African leagues, joining East Bengal FC from Morocco’s Botola Pro Inwi team Maghreb de Fès, where he logged 1,432 minutes over 19 matches, contributing 3 goals and 3 assists last season. Over 162 matches in the Botola Pro Inwi league, the 30-year-old has netted 45 goals and provided 14 assists.
Welcoming Ahadad to the Red & Gold Brigade, Thangboi Singto, Head of Football at East Bengal FC, remarked, “We are thrilled to have Hamid join the Emami East Bengal FC family. His experience, adaptability, and proven success at the highest levels will significantly bolster our attacking capabilities. Additionally, he won the Botola Pro Inwi with Raja Casablanca in the 2019-20 season. He has also played for notable Botola Pro Inwi clubs FUS Rabat and Wydad AC.
