F1: Isack Hadjar Signs with RB for the 2025 Season

Milton Keynes (UK), Dec 20 (NationPress) Isack Hadjar is poised to enter the world of Formula 1 in 2025 after finalizing a contract with RB, the sister team of Red Bull Racing, to join Yuki Tsunoda as his teammate.

The Red Bull junior driver Hadjar showcased his skills during his second season in the F2 feeder series, where he secured the runner-up position behind Gabriel Bortoleto, who is set to move to Sauber, while racing for Campos Racing.

With Sergio Perez leaving Red Bull prior to the 2025 season and Liam Lawson moving up from RB, an opening arose at RB.

At just 20 years old, Isack has made a name for himself with the illustrious Campos Racing team in F2, establishing himself as one of the most promising young talents in the sport. His career trajectory has been on a remarkable upswing, marked by significant victories at iconic Grand Prix tracks such as Imola, Spa-Francorchamps, and Silverstone.

Isack will join the ranks of celebrated drivers like Max Verstappen, Sebastian Vettel, and Daniel Ricciardo, becoming the 19th driver to ascend to Formula 1 through the Red Bull Junior Program, which has been in existence since 2001.

“I am incredibly thrilled to embrace my new position at VCARB; this represents a monumental achievement for me, my family, and everyone who has supported me from the outset. The progression from karting through the single-seater ranks to now stepping into Formula 1 is a lifelong dream come true. It feels like I’m entering an entirely new realm, driving a much more powerful car and competing with the world's elite drivers. The learning curve will be steep, but I am prepared to put in the effort and deliver my best for the team,” Isack expressed in a statement.

“I am eager to collaborate with and learn from Yuki. I have always admired him; he has also gone through the Red Bull Junior Program like I have, and we share similar paths to F1. His experience will be invaluable for my development,” he added.

Laurent Mekies, Team Principal of Racing Bulls, stated, “We are thrilled to welcome Isack to our team next year, introducing a fresh dynamic alongside Yuki in 2025. His journey to Formula 1 has been remarkable, demonstrating significant growth and achieving impressive results in the junior single-seater categories. He possesses the talent and determination required to excel at the highest level, and we are confident he will quickly adapt and make a meaningful contribution. I believe Isack and Yuki will form an excellent partnership. Yuki brings essential experience, having shown incredible resilience and maturity, which will be vital for us as we pursue our goals in 2025.”
