Margao, April 14 (NationPress) The Indian Super League (ISL) team FC Goa has confirmed the exit of forward Armando Sadiku ahead of the Kalinga Super Cup 2025.

The Albanian striker, who joined the Gaurs this season after clinching the League Shield with MBSG last year, netted 10 goals in 24 ISL appearances. He made an explosive impact in the league, scoring eight goals in his first seven consecutive matches.

“FC Goa and Armando Sadiku have mutually agreed to part ways effective immediately,” the club announced via social media.

Nonetheless, Sadiku found it challenging to score in the latter stages of the season, managing only two goals in his final 17 matches. His last goal for the Gaurs occurred against Bengaluru FC in the second-leg semi-final, where he equalized immediately after coming off the bench, only for Sunil Chhetri to score the winning goal for the Blues in stoppage time.

Despite the goal drought, Sadiku was instrumental in FC Goa’s offensive play. He ended the season as the Gaurs’ top scorer, averaging 14 passes per game, creating 19 chances, and providing two assists.

FC Goa achieved one of their best league finishes, accumulating 48 points to claim second place in the standings. Their campaign concluded narrowly in the semi-finals, where they were edged out 3-2 on aggregate by Bengaluru FC, with midfielder Brison Fernandes earning the Emerging Player of the Season award.

In 24 appearances, he scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists, while also creating 27 chances, completing 25 key passes, and winning 74 duels—statistics that highlight his pivotal role in midfield.

FC Goa is now set to regroup as they prepare for a clash against Gokulam Kerala FC in the Round of 16 of the Kalinga Super Cup on April 21.
