The Women’s HIL will commence on December 28 in Ranchi, concluding on January 10. Following this, the Men’s HIL will start on January 3 in Chennai, transition to Ranchi from January 11, and culminate in the heart of hockey – Bhubaneswar – from January 17 to January 26.
This year, the Hockey India League promises an exciting lineup of eight men's and four women's teams, showcasing fast-paced action through their newly redesigned formats.
Ticket sales for the Ranchi leg of the HIL launched earlier this week. As part of its ongoing commitment to popularizing the sport, Hockey India aims to reach fans in every corner of the nation.
Dilip Tirkey, chairperson of the HIL governing committee, stated, “We are thrilled to once again offer free tickets for hockey enthusiasts to enjoy matches across Chennai, Ranchi, and Bhubaneswar. While women’s matches are set for Ranchi, the men’s HIL will span three cities. Our goal is to fill the stands with passionate fans eager to see their favorite players in action. We’re excited to feature some of the world’s top talents this season, promising exceptional hockey throughout the month.”
Echoing these sentiments, committee member Bhola Nath Singh remarked, “The Hero HIL will be a month-long festival of hockey, and we invite fans to join us for #hockeykajashn. Our aim is to grow the fanbase across various regions, and we look forward to vibrant stadiums throughout the season.”
