Ahmedabad, Dec 14 (NationPress) GS Delhi Aces and Yash Mumbai Eagles have advanced to the finale on the sixth day of the Tennis Premier League Season 7 following victories in their respective semi-final matches held at the Gujarat University Tennis Stadium.

The initial semi-final featured GS Delhi Aces facing off against the Rajasthan Rangers. The tie commenced with the Women’s Singles, where 20-year-old Sofia Costoulas took on Ekaterina Kazionova. Costoulas set an impressive tone for the Delhi Aces, achieving a remarkable 19–6 victory, marking the largest margin in this season's ties.

In the mixed doubles, Costoulas teamed up with Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan to compete against the Rajasthan Rangers duo of Ekaterina Kazionova and Dhakshineswar Suresh. The Rangers displayed resilience under pressure, managing to secure a narrow 13–12 victory, bringing the contest back into contention.

The men's singles turned out to be crucial. Billy Harris faced world No. 26 Luciano Darderi and delivered a commanding performance, wrapping up with a convincing 17–8 win. This result meant the GS Delhi Aces needed just three more points to ensure their place in the final.

During the men’s doubles, Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Billy Harris competed against Dhakshineswar Suresh and Luciano Darderi, where the duo from Delhi Aces claimed a 3–1 victory, concluding the tie with an overall score of 51–28, thus securing their spot in the Tennis Premier League Season 7 final.

The second semi-final featured SG Pipers Bengaluru going head-to-head with Yash Mumbai Eagles. The contest began with the Women’s Singles, where Shrivalli Bhamidipaty faced Riya Bhatia. Bhatia executed a remarkable comeback, narrowly beating Bhamidipaty 13–12.

This was followed by the mixed doubles, where Shrivalli Bhamidipaty teamed up with Rohan Bopanna against Riya Bhatia and Niki Poonacha. Both teams fought tightly, but it was the duo from SG Pipers Bengaluru who maintained their composure in the clutch moments, clinching a 13–12 win and keeping the semi-final finely balanced.

The men’s singles saw Ramkumar Ramanathan take on world No. 57 Damir Dzumhur. Dzumhur showcased a solid performance, winning 14–11.

Finally, in the men’s doubles, Ramkumar Ramanathan and Rohan Bopanna faced Niki Poonacha and Damir Dzumhur. The duo from SG Pipers Bengaluru secured a tight 13–12 win, but despite their efforts, it was the Yash Mumbai Eagles who triumphed overall, finishing with a narrow 51–49 victory, thus earning their place in the final of Tennis Premier League Season 7.

The grand finale will see GS Delhi Aces go head-to-head against Yash Mumbai Eagles.
