New Delhi, Oct 16 (NationPress) The Haryana Steelers showcased an impressive performance, capturing the largest victory margin in PKL 12 by overpowering UP Yoddhas with a score of 53-26 at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium in Delhi on Thursday.

This remarkable 27-point victory allowed them to ascend to fifth position on the points leaderboard.

Jaideep Dahiya spearheaded the effort with a high five, while Shivam Patare made a significant impact by achieving a super 10. Substitute Ghanshyam Magar also contributed with eight raid points, and Neeraj secured four tackle points.

The defending champions began the match with high energy. Vinay initiated the scoring with his 100th raid point of the season, while Sahil Narwal set the defensive tone with a solid tackle. Gagan Gowda and Guman Singh managed to score for the Yoddhas early on, but it was the aggressive play and execution by the Haryana Steelers that dominated the first ten minutes.

Shivam Patare proved to be a formidable presence against the Yoddhas, with Sahil Narwal ensuring their defense remained vigilant. Rahul Sethpal capitalized on the early pressure, executing a brilliant tackle that resulted in the game's first all-out, giving his team a 12-5 advantage.

The Haryana Steelers maintained their dominance, with Shivam Patare achieving his Super 10, scoring 11 points across 10 raids. Keshav Kumar showed some fight for UP Yoddhas with a do-or-die raid followed by a Super Tackle, but his efforts fell short as his team faced a second all-out, extending the Steelers' lead to 26-12 at halftime.

The second half began with some promise for UP Yoddhas, as Gagan Gowda found his groove offensively. Guman Singh and Hitesh contributed, narrowing the gap to ten points with around thirteen minutes remaining in the match.

With defensive tackles from Ashu Singh and Hitesh, along with contributions from Bhavani Rajput, UP Yoddhas continued to fight back. However, a Super Tackle from Sahil Narwal helped the Steelers maintain their double-digit lead, with the score at 32-21 as they entered the final phase of the match.

The Steelers quickly shut down any hopes of a comeback. Shivam Patare netted Haryana Steelers' first raid points of the second half after an eleven-minute drought, and Jaideep completed his High Five, executing a third all-out against the opposition, pushing the lead to a commanding 40-22.

In the final minutes, Ghanshyam Magar added to the Yoddhas' woes. Tackle efforts from Neeraj and Jaideep led to a fourth all-out, sealing the game for the defending champions. They scored 21 points in the final quarter, securing a resounding 53-26 victory.
