Armed with their sticks and an unwavering focus, their arrival marks the commencement of a crucial phase in what is anticipated to be a fast-paced and high-stakes tournament.

Head coach Sofie Gierts introduces fresh leadership to the squad, joining the team in Ranchi prior to the season. She is ably supported by Helen Mary, a veteran of Indian hockey and former captain. Helen’s experience brings clarity and strategy as the team prepares for intense competition and the imperative to build decisive momentum.

The Pipers squad enters the league with an impressive recent international record. Captain Navneet Kaur leads with distinction, having achieved over 200 international caps in 2025, solidifying her position as one of India's top attackers. Over the last year, Navneet has proven to be a dependable asset for India in high-pressure situations, orchestrating the offensive play and establishing a competitive edge in the attacking zone.

At the back, Udita fortifies the defense after a stellar season where she was recognized as the Player of the Tournament at the Women’s Asia Cup 2025, demonstrating both her defensive acumen and offensive capability by netting three penalty corner goals while executing crucial defensive roles against elite rivals.

The squad boasts a blend of international experience and diversity, featuring players from various hockey nations. This amalgamation provides the Pipers with depth in different positions and tactical flexibility, essential in a condensed league format where recovery time is scant, and adaptability can dictate outcomes.

After her arrival in Ranchi, head coach Sofie expressed, “It’s a pleasure to be part of this talented team, especially in a city like Ranchi that is passionate about hockey.
