The match featuring Diamond Harbour FC and Gokulam Kerala FC will occur at Kalyani Stadium, while Aizawl FC will later face Shillong Lajong FC at SSA Football Stadium.

Diamond Harbour FC vs Gokulam Kerala FC

Leading the league, Diamond Harbour FC has been a formidable contender this season, hoping to solidify their position at the top. With only one loss in eight matches and four wins in their last five outings, the West Bengal side comes into this game following a 3-1 triumph over Chanmari FC, holding a four-point advantage atop the standings.

On the other hand, Gokulam Kerala sits in eighth place after a series of inconsistent performances, including a significant 6-2 defeat against Real Kashmir FC in their last match. Nevertheless, a win could propel them to fifth place, keeping their Championship phase aspirations alive.

Head coach Dimitris Dimitriou remains hopeful despite recent challenges, asserting, “In my country, we say that as long as you are alive, there is still hope. We are ready; the players are disciplined and have trained diligently. We anticipate a strong performance tomorrow to enhance our chances of being in the top six.”

Evaluating their opponents, Dimitriou remarked, “In football, statistics matter; they are undoubtedly a strong team. However, my players also have exceptional abilities. Diamond Harbour's head coach Kibu Vicuña stressed a focused, game-by-game strategy, stating, “Every game is crucial mentally; each point counts, whether in group stages or the championship phase, and we carry those points forward.”

“We acknowledge Gokulam Kerala's rich history and respect them, but we also have confidence in our capabilities,” Vicuña affirmed.

Shillong Lajong's head coach Birendra Thapa underscored the fixture's significance despite already qualifying, stating, “We are in the top six, but tomorrow’s match holds immense importance; a win could see us finish in the top three or even the top two.”

He also mentioned the unique nature of derby matches, emphasizing, “Derbies are not solely about tactics; they embody emotions, desire, hunger, and fighting spirit.”
