Ipoh (Malaysia), Nov 26 (NationPress) - In a gripping encounter, Selvam Karthi, Sukhjeet Singh, Amit Rohidas, and Sanjay (53’) each netted a goal, leading India to a narrow 4-3 triumph over Malaysia at the Sultan Azlan Shah Stadium in Ipoh on Wednesday. Karthi inaugurated the scoreline in the 7th minute, while Sukhjeet Singh (21’), Amit Rohidas (39’), and Sanjay (53’) added to India's tally. For Malaysia, seasoned players Faizal Saari (13’), Fitri Saari (36’), and Marhan Jalil (45’) found the back of the net.

India commenced the match aggressively, pushing the hosts into their defensive zone as they aimed to dominate the game. They created their first chance from a Penalty Corner within three minutes, applying consistent pressure that ultimately bore fruit.

A slick play from Sukhjeet Singh set up Selvam Karthi (7’) for a simple tap-in, granting India a 1-0 lead. From that moment, India controlled the game's rhythm until a foul by Yashdeep Siwach earned him a green card and granted Malaysia a Penalty Corner. India eventually surged ahead for the fourth time in this match, with their captain Sanjay (53’) scoring from a penalty stroke. With determination to close the match, India defended against several late Penalty Corners from Malaysia, ultimately winning 4-3.
