New Delhi, July 8 (NationPress) India secured the third position in the medals tally with a remarkable total of 588 medals, which included 280 gold medals, at the 21st World Police & Fire Games 2025, concluding on July 6 in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.
In addition to the 280 golds, India's impressive collection featured 178 silver and 130 bronze medals. The country finished behind the United States, which led with 1,354 medals (569 gold, 433 silver, and 352 bronze), while Brazil claimed second place with 743 medals (266 gold, 246 silver, and 231 bronze).
The most successful unit from India was the Uttar Pradesh Police, which achieved an outstanding total of 95 medals, the highest by any Indian contingent at the Games held from June 27 to July 6.

This includes participants from law enforcement, firefighting, corrections, probation, border protection, immigration, and customs. The Games take place biennially and typically feature over 60 sports in their official program.
Events included Archery (3D, target, and field), Badminton, Baseball, Basketball (3x3 and 5x5), Bowling, Boxing, Chess, Cycling (street, hill climbing, and circuit race), Golf, Ice Hockey, Shooting (rifle, pistol, and shotgun), Soccer (indoor futsal and outdoor), Table Tennis, Tennis, Taekwondo, Track and Field, Volleyball, and Wrestling.
