India to Make Its First Appearance at FIFAe World Cup 2024

New Delhi, Dec 4 (NationPress) India is preparing to make its inaugural appearance at the FIFAe World Cup 2024, set to occur from December 9 to 12 at the SEF Arena, Boulevard Riyadh City, Saudi Arabia.

This prestigious event, part of the FIFAe Finals 2024 in Riyadh, will host competitions across both console and mobile platforms. The Indian team will be represented by Chinmay Sahoo, Ibrahim Gulrez, and Saksham Rattan in the FIFAe World Cup (Console), while Danial Shakeel Patel will be the sole competitor from India in the FIFAe World Cup (Mobile).

The national qualifiers for the FIFAe World Cup took place in October, featuring participants from all over the country competing in three rounds of in-game events. The top eligible players were selected based on the FIFAe Ranking list derived from the online qualifiers.

India has been placed in Group A for both Console and Mobile events.

On December 9, they will compete against Korea Republic, Spain, and France in the Console event, while on December 10, they will face Poland, Malaysia, Netherlands, Indonesia, and England.

In the Mobile event, the eTigers will encounter England, Japan, Indonesia, and Spain on December 9, followed by matches against Korea Republic, Costa Rica, and Brazil on December 10. The quarterfinals and semifinals for both formats will be held on December 11, culminating in the finals on December 12.

The FIFAe World Cup Console matches will adopt a 2v2 format using the eFootball 2025 game on PC with PlayStation 5 controllers, whereas the Mobile matches will also feature the same game on mobile devices.

Fans can watch the group stage and quarterfinal matches involving India live on the official Indian Football channels via YouTube and Twitch.
