New Delhi, July 10 (NationPress) The Indian U20 women's team is set to engage in two friendly matches with the Uzbekistan U20 women's squad in Tashkent on July 13 and 16, 2025, as they gear up for the upcoming AFC U20 Women's Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers, taking place from August 6 to 10 in Myanmar.
Swedish coach Joakim Alexandersson has announced a 24-member travelling squad that will leave Bengaluru, where the Young Tigresses have been training, on the evening of July 10 and arrive in Tashkent on the morning of July 11.
During the AFC U20 Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers, India is set to compete against Indonesia (August 6), Turkmenistan (August 8), and Myanmar (August 10) in Yangon. The group winners and the three best runners-up across all eight groups will earn spots in the final tournament scheduled in Thailand next year.
