After choosing to bowl first following the toss, India swiftly took charge of the match. Joshitha, awarded Player of the Match, struck early for India with figures of 2-5 in just two overs, paving the way for Parunika (3-7) and Aayushi (2-6) to dismiss the West Indies for a mere 44 runs in 13.2 overs.
The West Indies' poor running between the wickets contributed to three run-outs, further aiding India's cause. In response, India chased down the target in only 4.2 overs, with Sanika Chalke and wicketkeeper G Kamalini finishing not out at 18 and 16 runs, respectively.
